2022 Skills Academy

Our 12-Week Program begins January 9 and runs through April 2

LCVC offers a co-ed Skills Academy aimed at those players who want to learn volleyball and improve their skills without overnight travel to tournaments.

The Skills Academy has two programs:

- Elementary School (grades 2nd-5th)

- Middle School (grades 6th-8th)

Families can choose from participating in our Hilton Head Island or Bluffton site.


Elementary School (Grades 2-5)

  • 12-week program of weekly practices - no competition. This program is designed to teach participants volleyball skills. 
  • Includes t-shirt, volleylite ball
  • Cost- $200 plus a $5 USAV Palmetto Region Membership for insurance coverage.

Option 1: Bluffton location- Bluffton High School Sundays at 5:00-6:30

Option 2: Hilton Head Island location- Hilton Head Island Boys & Girls Club Thursdays 6:30-8:00


Middle School (Grades 6-8)

  • 12-week program includes weekly practices and scheduled volleyball matches. 
  • Includes t-shirt and volleyball
  • Cost- $300 plus $5 USAV Palmetto Region League Membership for Insurance Coverage

Option 1:  Bluffton location- Bluffton High School Sundays 5:00-6:30 OR 6:30-8:00

Option 2:  Hilton Head Island location- Hilton Head Island Rec. Center Tuesdays 7:15-8:45

Registration Process

Step 1:  Create a Sports Engine Parent Account (How to Video).

Step 2:  Purchase a $5 Palmetto Region League Membership for your son/daughter for our insurance requirement.

Step 3:  Once you have your son/daughter's Palmetto Region USAV membership number, complete the Low Country Volleyball Club Registration.


Need-based scholarships are available to cover up to 50% of Skills Academy fees.  Please email to request the application prior to completing the Low Country registration (step 3 above).   LCVC uses the federal poverty guidelines to calculate percentage of poverty level to award scholarships .
